remembering names, parallel parking, saving my money, cooking, early mornings,

Do not come easily to me.

Words however,

My resume is inaccurate.

It says I have X years of writing experience because I had to pick a number. But the truth is, I’ve spent my whole life writing—

But the truth is, I’ve spent my whole life writing —in film, in music, in advertising, in a little black journal— and have dedicated my adult years to even more writing, a bunch of studying, and as much traveling as possible in an effort to:

a) understand people more. b) tell even better stories.

I’m fluent in English, Spanish, and Gen-Z and strongly believe that groundbreaking ideas usually come from the most unexpected places, people, and things.

(let’s remember this when I request time off to run away to Asia, yes?)

_____________

I’m the 3rd child of 4.

Here are some things we third children have in common:

  • Standing out — In a room, from our siblings, from other applicants…

  • Socially Savvy — Basically family diplomats with impeccable comedic timing.

  • Adaptable — Never being the one with control of the TV remote has a way of teaching you to make do.

  • Resourceful — Getting creative with the left overs turns out to be great artistic training.

  • Flexible — Is it a skipped curfew , missed homework, rebel child or a free spirit in the making?

There must be a language that doesn’t depend on words.

We need to talk.
